Reading books
So, this happened a few weeks ago (April 14). I wrote myself a note, but I forgot to post it. I read a few books to Momo in bed and as I was leaving the room, she said, "I can read it. My mouth is big, look, just like yours."

I helped him clean up
When I was driving home last week after picking Momo up from school, I asked her about her day. I asked if she got to draw and what she used to draw. She told me markers. That was followed up by telling me one of the boys in her class got marker on the table and had to clean it up. She said, "he had to spray it then clean it up. And I helped him because I am so nice."

Learning our letters
So this isn't a funny moment, but a milestone. Momo and I were reading Elmo's ABC Book and there is a page with all the letters mixed up on the page. She was able to point out M, E, and W when I asked her where they were. Smart girl. And then she pointed to R and said R. She followed it up with "for Rosie, Caillou's sister." Caillou is a cartoon that she loves right now. Maybe we watch a little too much TV, but at least it is teaching her at the same time.

Our friend Christian
Tonight, we had one of our friend's sons hang out for a few hours while his Mom went out. His name is Christian. He is eleven and Momo loves having him around, almost to the point where I start to feel sorry for Christian. I always tell him to let me know if he needs a break from her. It is very much the same way she acts towards Dayton. It is "I need your full attention at all times and we are going to play at a pace of 110%." So tonight as we said our prayers, she prayed for Christian. Then after our prayers, she says "I want to keep him."

Emmett's new name
Josh has always (for the whole 2 months of E's life) called Emmett "studly." Today, Morgan repeated it in her own cute voice as any 2 year old might only it sounds life Stug-i-ly.

Bringing home pizza
Momo and Daddy went to pick up pizza for dinner last night. As they were getting out of the car, Daddy asked her if she was ready to go inside. She said yes and as she got to the sidewalk, she turned around to him and said "get the pizza boy." So of course he got the pizza:)

Welcome!
In order to keep everyone up to speed with what is going on around here and to share funny stories and cute pictures, I am going to try and stay up to date on this blog. I will post as regularly as I can with most post probably being just a few lines. Family has already heard the most of the stories I can going to write at the end of this post, but this way I will have them all saved in one place. Our Momo entertains us constantly and I hope that you will be entertained by her stories and pictures (she is a photographer now...more on that later). And as Emmett's ("Big E" from here on) personality begins to form, I hope you can get a glimpse of him from the pics and stories I add. Thanks for loving us and wanting to know what is happening in our home.
Funny Things She Says...
4/11/11
After going potty, Mom tries to help her pull up her pants and she says, “Don’t touch my panties Mom. They are super-panties.” She then pulls them up by herself.

After baby brother has been crying for the sitter for an hour, she walks over to him and says “Emmett, you are driving us crazy”
early April
Driving in the car, she asks Mom if it is Mom’s birthday. After 2 no’s, she says, “Mom, say yes. Mom, it’s your birthday?” Mom says yes and Momo begins singing “Happy B-day” to Mom. Mom says “Did you get me a present?” Momo says “um, not yet.” Mom asks “what are you going to get me?” Momo says, “a supercar, but if you pee in your panties, I have to take it back to the store.”
4/12/11
Mom slipped down the staircase this morning and this is the conversation that occurs at nighttime as Momo is getting tucked into bed,
Momo: You going to walk by yourself
Mom: Down the steps?
Momo: yes, but you don’t slip
Mom: Yes, but I’ll be careful.
Momo: k, but be careful
Mom: I’ll hold onto the rail
Momo: K, hold onto the rail and don’t fall down. Be careful.

To add to the last story, she continues to tell me to be careful almost everytime we are all walking down the stairs. And the first few times she and I went down the stairs together, she said, "good job Mom. You are doing it all by yourself." She makes me laugh.
4/17 at 5:00 am
Something wakes Momo and I hear her crying in bed. I go into her room, tuck her back in, kiss her goodnight, and return to our bed. 15 minutes later, she is calling for me, so I go back to her room. This time she is sitting up with her pajama top unbuttoned and she says "my muscles are too big." I question "do you need me to button your shirt?" She says "yes, because my muscles are so big."
